I am a senior majoring in Physiology and Neurobiology with a minor in Human Development. My experience as an Adventist Stepping Stones intern and volunteering at the Pregnancy Aid Center highlighted the critical need for Spanish-speaking healthcare professionals. This past summer, I studied abroad in Costa Rica, where I took a Medical Spanish course and hope to address this language barrier in the medical field.
On campus, I am a CP Scholars Life Sciences alumnus, the Social Media Chair for the LatinX Prehealth Society, and a former GSS leader and TA for CHEM131. I also worked as a research assistant in Dr. Francis's neurophysiology lab. Currently, I am employed as a medical assistant at a gynecology practice and volunteer at the St. Mark Adult ESOL and Literacy Program, where I teach English to primarily Spanish-speaking adults. In my free time, I enjoy going to the gym, fashion, and listening to music. I look forward to meeting you all and offering any guidance and support!
